October 2019 Ipsy Glam Bag Plus

A little too much skincare in this month's GBP . The items I received were:

• Purlisse Blue Lotus Brightening Serum (a $65 value)
• Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator (a $79 value)
• Betty Boop x Ipsy That's So Betty Eyeshadow Palette (a $30 value)
• Glossier Milky Oil Waterproof Makeup Remover (a $12 value)
• Jules Smith Beauty Power Gloss Duo in Namaste All Day and Serene Queen (a $32 value)

I really wanted to love the Betty Boop palette (it was my choice for this month), but I had major application problems with it.  I can see why the Dr. Brandt is a favorite, but it is a tad too rough for me.  Serums and makeup removers do nothing to excite me, so the only real win this month was the lip duo, which are both gorgeous on.  All told, this $25 Ipsy Glam Bag Plus has a value of $218.

September 2019 Ipsy Glam Bag Plus

This month's GBP had two really big hits for me! The items I received were:

• Nomad Cosmetics Berlin Underground Intense Eyeshadow Palette (a $37 value)
• Illamasqua Antimatter Lipstick in Solar (a $27 value)
• Ciate London Extraordinary Translucent Powder (a $22 value)
• Ofra Cosmetics x Madison Miller Squad Palette (a $35 value)
• Apto Skincare Antioxidant Mask with Pomegranate (a $36 value)

I first discovered Nomad's eyeshadows through Ipsy and have fallen in love with them, and the Berlin palette does not disappoint.  Ofra's highlighters where another Ipsy find, and this palette with two highlighters and a blush is perfect.  I really like the Ciate setting powder better than my usual, and the Solar lipstick is a very wearable shade, even if the formula is not worth $27.  The only real miss for me was the Apto mask since I do not like wipe-off masks.  All told, this $25 Ipsy Glam Bag Plus has a value of $157.
