Edgy Electromagnetism

Inspiration: Edgy Electromagnetism on page 47 of the March/April 2016 issue of Nail It!

Products: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Wedding Glitters, Art Club Nail Art Duo Black, Solar Tides foil

Thoughts: Used a different foil glue this time and it worked perfectly!  I even had the exact foil the tutorial called for.  Not the biggest fan of the black border, but I think it helps keep the foil from chipping and pulling up.

Hint of Cheetah

Inspiration: Hint of Cheetah on page 45 of the January/February 2016 issue of Nail It!

Products: CoverGirl Star Wars Limited Edition Outlast Speed of Light, Sally Hansen Satin Glam Silk Onyx

Thoughts: This tutorial was listed as beginner, but cheetah spots are very difficult for me.  Luckily, I have a stamper that does them perfectly.  I opted for a sparkly charcoal instead of solid black to soften the look.

Sweet Spots

Inspiration: Sweet Spots on page 74 of the March/April 2015 issue of Nail It!

Products: Sally Hanson Sugar Shimmer Cinny Sweet, Paintfab Auber-Genius, Art Club Nail Art Duo White

Thoughts: This was supposed to be done in spring colors, but I did this for my mom's birthday, so chose her favorite colors.  The tutorial had the contrasting corners not touching, but I messed up my left hand and had to go back and adjust my right.

Drenched in Deco

Inspiration: Drenched in Deco on page 71 of the March/April 2015 issue of Nail It!

Products: Ruffian Ruffian Cire Nior, Salon Perfect He's with Me, Sally Hanson Complete Salon Manicure Wedding Glitters

Thoughts: Another super easy and classy design!  Some of my dots did run together, but it still keeps the overall art deco look.  Definitely a great and easy look for a special night out.

Shades of Blu

Inspiration: January 2015 Ipsy Bag (clicking will take you through my referral link)

Products: Zoya Blu, Probelle Into the Blue, Sally Hansen HD Blu

Thoughts: I have loved blue nail polish since I first saw it in the 90s.  This Probelle polish is a great blue for every day wear.  The formula might be a little watery, but it does last.  While I have a ton of blues in my collection, I went with the other two because they have the same name!

Golden Arch

Inspiration:  Nail It! Nailtini Nail Art Contest #2

Products: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Rosy Outlook, Julep Monaco, and foil in Gold

Thoughts: To celebrate their partnership with Nailtini this month, Nail It! Magazine is running three Instagram contests based on the mood boards for each of their three polishes.  The second contest focuses on Blue Magic and is all about Moroccan architecture and the artwork of Lauren Clay.  One of the artwork pics features a pink triangle, so I combined that with the gold and blue arches found in Moroccan architecture.

Pitch Pink

Inspiration:  Color

Products: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Rosy Outlook, Art Club Nail Art Duo Black

Thoughts: I have got to say that I totally understand why Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure was a Birchbox Find.  I got excellent coverage in just one coat, it dries fast, and it has built in top coat and base coat.  Also, I had the absolute easiest time applying this color (hated the brush the first time I used a Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure color, but that was a glitter).  As you have probably figured out, I suck at cleaning the polish off my skin after painting, but what you see in the picture is exactly what my nails looked liked after painting - that's how nicely this brush worked.  The pink was a pretty color, but it pops even more with the black side french, which was also ridiculously easy with the Art Club Nail Art Duo's awesome striper brush.

In the Box: Birchbox Limited Edition Birchbox Finds

I love when Birchbox (clicking will take you through my referral link) does LE boxes.  This time, they did a Birchbox Finds box.  For those unfamiliar with Birchbox, a Birchbox Find is a drug store item, as opposed to a specialty store item.  I find that the Birchbox Finds tend to be some of the items I use the most.  Now, I probably won't use this Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Rosy Outlook the most because I am not a fan of the brushes Sally Hansen uses in this product, plus I have received a lot of pinks this month.  However, the formula is great.
What other goodies did I get?  Biore Self Heating One Minute Mask, Covergirl Bombshell Shadow by LastBlast in Ice Queen, Covergirl Bombshell Volume by LashBlast in Very Black, John Frieda Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir, Nivea Kiss of Color & Care in Sheer Caramel, and

Rimmel London Stay Glossy 3D Lipgloss in Popcorn for 2.
