All Wrapped Up

Inspiration: All Wrapped Up on page 75 of the March/April 2015 issue of Nail It!

Products: China Glaze Platinum Silver, Nabi New Emerald, Color Secrets Amelie

Thoughts: Love this look.  The tutorial had it in blue, but I went with green for St. Patrick's Day.  I also decided to do just an accent nail but do the nails on either side the color of the dot-stripe closest.

Woland on Target

Inspiration: Stay on Target on page 73 of the November/December 2014 issue of Nail It! and December Rainbow Honey Mini Mystery Bag

Products: China Glaze Silver Platinum, Rainbow Honey Woland, Art Club Nail Art Duo White and Black

Thoughts: This tutorial looked fun, and when I received my December Rainbow Honey Mini Mystery Bag, I knew I would have to incorporate Woland into it.  To do so, I went with a silver background instead of black.  The deep purple of Woland looks amazing over the silver, but appears more black in the pictures.

Negative Space Knit

Inspiration: Emerson: Negative Space Knit on page 32 of the July/August 2014 issue of Nail It!

Products: Ruffian Ruffian Cire Noir, China Glaze Hook and Line, Julep Oxygen Smoothing Base Coat

Thoughts: I have never tried a negative space mani before, but this was really simple and the painter's tape worked excellently!  I love the look of the soft grey sponged over the black.

80s Party Line

Inspiration:  Color

Products: China Glaze Platinum Silver, Color Club Tweet Me, tenoverten Spring

Thoughts: Here's a simple retro look that I never would have tried if one of my employees had not told me to paint my nails chartreuse.  Tweet Me went on fine over the Platinum Silver, but Spring gave me a lot of trouble.  I have never tried tenoverten before this, so I cannot say if it was a formula or something else.

Brazilian Brights

Inspiration: J-Lo's Brazilian Brights on page 44 of the May/June 2014 issue of Nail It!

Products: Julep Sunny, Essie Hide & Go Chic, China Glaze Gaga for Green

Thoughts: This was my first attempt at watermarbling, and while it didn't turn out right, I kinda like how it looks.  The blue didn't really show up though, even though I used the one from the tutorial.  Where it does show up, though, the trio of colors really pops.

Gaga for Flowers

Inspiration:  April 2014 INN Box

Products: Essie Style Hunter and Hide n Go Chic, China Glaze Gaga for Green

Thoughts: I always do the Surprise Me option for the INN Box (Inzuri Nail Nation), and this month I got the Petal Power set. (I also got some Burt's Bees cleansing creams and a set of the Revlon Marchessa nail wraps!)  Even though I had some problems receiving my March box (should be on its way finally!), I highly suggest you check it out as this is my favorite nail subscription box as the curated sets of different brands always work so well together. I've been wanting to try flowers with my dotting tool, so that is what I did with this month's Essie colors.  The China Glaze ended up being my favorite as I love the bright pop of this spring green.

So Clutch

Inspiration:  Gold Rush - So Clutch on page 104 of the March/April 2014 issue of Nail It!

Products:  Ruffian Ruffian Naked, Orly Halo, Art Club Nail Art Duo Black, China Glaze What a Pansy

Thoughts: Still not the best with a striping brush, but other than that, this was a pretty easy mani.  I absolutely love What a Pansy even if the pics make it look a little darker (the top pic is closer to the true color than the bottom).

Barred Buds

Inspiration:  Barred Buds: How to Polish It on page 44 of the March/April 2014 issue of Nail It!

Products:  Color Club Mod in Manhattan, Art Club Nail Art Duo Black, Julep Shannon and Tina, Formula X for Sephora We Are in Luck Here from the Ariel Whatca-Nail-Call-It set, Zoya Blu, China Glaze What a Pansy

Thoughts: This mani uses some of my favorite spring colors - mint, orchid, and periwinkle.  What a Pansy is by far by favorite new color, but I did the rest of my fingers in Shannon because I had never tried Julep's new Silk Finish, and I have to say, I really like it for a matte - really looks like silk.  The accent fingers were fun to do, but I had manis I liked better this past month.

In the Box: Fancy Women's Mystery Box

I have never tried Fancy (clicking will take you through my referral link)before, but when I saw they had a mystery box, I knew it was time.  Since Fancy sends all different kinds of products, I was not expecting any nail polish, but I got some!  This China Glaze Platinum Silver is an excellent metallic and perfect for me.
What other goodies did I get? LA EX card holder, Fancy notebooks, Vinyl Impressions + Fancy "Work Hard Stay Humble" removable wall sticker.

Not Really Worth Its Weight

Inspiration:  Gold Rush - Worth Its Weight on page 101 of the March/April 2014 issue of Nail It!

Products:  Sephora by OPI Self-Maid Millionaire from the Cinderella The Perfect Shoe Can Change Your Life collection, China Glaze Lighthouse, gold striping tape, gold teardrops, gold stars

Thoughts: Why is this "Not Reall Worth Its Weight"?  Because it turns out I suck at using striping tape.  The Nail It! design is really awesome, but I had to motify because my striping tape was just not cooperating.  And what you are seeing in the pictures is my right hand - my left hand turned out even worse.  Let's just call this one a learning experience.

Cherry on Top

Inspiration:  Feburary 2014 INN Box

Products:  OPI Black Cherry Chutney, Essie Jamaica Me Crazy, China Glaze Your Present Required

Thoughts:I always do the Surprise Me option for the INN Box (Inzuri Nail Nation), and this month I got the Love Hurts set. No bonus beauty items this month - BOO! - but that's probably because the INN Box is going through some changes.  They are going to a three-tier subscription model where you can choose to receive two or three polishes.  I highly suggest you check it out as this is my favorite nail subscription box as the curated sets of different brands always work so well together.  I always reflect on the three I get until inspiration strikes in a way to use all three together.  This month, the name of the OPI one made me think of ice cream sundaes, so I did an accent nail that is reflective of that.

Field of Alliums

Inspiration:  Straight from the Catwalks! - Emerson: Field of Alliums Floral of It on page 42 of the January/February 2014 issue of Nail It!

Products:  Zoya Blu, Spellbound Nails Lilac You, Color Club London Calling and Wild Cactus, China Glaze Bizarre Blurple, It's So Easy Double Up (not pictured), Q-Tips (not pictured)

Thoughts:  I am very proud of this mani - the above pic was done with my non-dominant hand!  The flowers were supposed to be made with a make-up brush, but I didn't have any old ones, so I tried a Q-Tip.  I didn't dab it off enough before applying, so the flowers appear more solid than airy, but it worked very nicely for spotting my other nails.
